San Juan Mountain Autumn Color Photography Workshop
In 2024, I am offering my San Juan Mountains Fall Color Workshop during four weeks of autumn:
September 29th through October 26th.
These dates are chosen based on the very best odds for prime fall color and mountain glory!
As a local to these mountains, I know them extremely well! And I know all the best spots for epic color, natural features and views that’ll leave ya speechless.
I will not be showing you the same stuff everyone else is seeing on workshops down here and we will have a most excellent time avoiding the great big crowds and experiencing the serenity and awe of the mountains splashed yellow.
This workshop is car-based. Jon is our driver and extra set of trained eyes. We will drive together to amazing locations and have a peaceful, inspiring time.
If you would like to spice things up, I have a couple short hikes with tons of color I’m happy to bring you to. They are moderate to strenuous.
We come to you. The San Juans are really big! Wherever you’re staying, we can set up an awesome workshop where you wont need to drive too far.
Upon booking and having a quick email chat, I will get your workshop prepared and laid out in a PDF that you can take your time reading. This will include location details, times, what to expect and other information that is helpful and relevant. If you don’t care for a custom workshop, I have a standard outline for a spectacular workshop and will send you that information so you know what to expect.
Some finer details:
This workshop is roughly 5 hours in length and time begins when you hop in our Jeep and we get going.
Workshops happen even if it’s rainy or storming.
I only offer morning workshops- sorry night owls!
There are always chances to see wildlife on a workshop of course. For this workshop, wildlife is a happy bonus, not our mission and not a guarantee.
If you are flying in, the nearest airports are Durango (small) and Albuquerque (big).
