Tarantula Jubilance

Every fall, as I start sharing pictures of wild tarantulas on my tiny home property, folks are surprised to discover that these large spiders are endemic to parts of the San Juan Mountains. I enjoy educating others about tarantulas, and it's fascinating to know that these spiders are commonly found in mountainous regions.

I find these creatures endlessly captivating. They are long-lived, beautiful and misunderstood.

In the American Southwest, there are many various tarantula species. Through this project, I aim to document the lives of wild tarantulas in the southwest, providing information about different species and exploring the numerous benefits they bring to our world.

Tarantula Jubilance is a cheerful celebration of the tarantulas that inhabit the southwest. Explore my articles below to learn more!
